Journey To Freedom
From Crisis To Confidence
*Jenny came to Crossroads after leaving an abusive relationship where her husband controlled her medical care—sometimes withholding medication, other times giving her too much—leaving her incoherent and vulnerable. At Crossroads, she met regularly with her advocate, often emotional and unsure, and on more than one occasion considered going back. However, she made the courageous decision to file for divorce. From there, Jenny began taking steady steps toward self-sufficiency: she found a safe apartment, got her medical needs addressed, and worked to build a better life for her and her children.

We’re Hiring!
Crossroads Safehouse is hiring for two key positions: Family Justice Center Bilingual Program Coordinator and Youth and Family Advocate. The Larimer County Family Justice Center (FJC) brings together multiple agencies to offer comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence, stalking, trafficking, sexual assault, and child abuse—all in one location. The FJC Bilingual Program Coordinator supports programming and daily operations, working with Crossroads staff to ensure smooth service delivery. The Youth and Family Advocate leads prevention efforts in local high schools, provides crisis intervention, supports the Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART), assists with shelter and crisis line coverage, and helps maintain a safe shelter environment. These roles offer a meaningful opportunity to support survivors and strengthen community safety and healing.
